    I stopped here one day with a nail in my tire and my air pressure was dropping fast. Thought i would be able to get a simple plug put in the tire which these people would have done but not on this particular day because they were to "busy" but they would be more than happy to schedule me an appointment for the next tire isnt gonna last another 5 minutes and u deny helping me?...i then drove to walmart to see if they could help me. Told the lady at the counter that my tire was loosing air problem she pulled my truck in immediately and they began to work on it. I am now in the market to buy new tires and im not saying i would by them from walmart but i will definatly not buy from schierl tire or have any other type of service work done...ever

    This location has always met our expectations...BUT...Twice in the last 2 months this location has gone above & beyond!! My parents (who live in Merrill) were here house sitting for us while we had to be away. Both times they had "issues" w/their vehicle. Prior to their 1st visit their "local dealer" had told them the answer to their issue was to "replace the starter". Because they had to be at our house they opted to have Schierl give a 2nd folks replaced a battery...not the starter....a huge financial savings!! The 2nd time they were house sitting for us the problem occurred again. This time instead of just "replacing things" you folks did some digging and realized that there are a few similar problems occurring on the record but unfortunately no solution can be offered by GM. Although a real bummer for my aging parents it was amazing that you did not "stick it to them" but instead explained what is going on behind the scenes and charged them nothing. Amazing!! All you at Schierl Tire get my "atta boys" and praise for your honesty and good work ethics. You went above and beyond by researching instead of just replacing. Thank you soooo much for treating my out of town parents with the utmost importance!! You always have been and will continue to be our go to car place!!

    Overall, we went in about a month ago for an estimate. Went today for scheduled appt. to install tires. All pricing was honored as well as rebates. Len was most helpful. Got alignment, new tires. I can already tell the difference in the way my Rendezvous drives and handles.
    We are, at this point, most satisfied.

    Waited 2 1/2 hours for 4 tires and left with 4 tires and screwed up lug nuts. Yep they are ordering me new nuts but it shouldn't have happened.

    had new tires put on and requested an alignment. Was told truck needed $1900.00 worth of repairs before they would do an alignment. Took truck to another shop and $164.00 for repairs and $69 for alignment drives like new.

    Disappointed. While driving to Wisconsin Rapids on Friday afternoon my car developed a severe vibration. Stopped at Schierl Tire and asked if they could check it out. I was told I could make an appointment the following Wednesday. I asked if they would check out what was causing the vibration to see if the car was safe to drive but they wouldn't. Very disappointed !

    All I got to say is don't take your car for an oil change on a Saturday at 11am. Fluids were found low and had a break lite out when the appointment was over. No mention of the light on the paper work, I picked up my car after they closed on Saturday but, I did give them my cell number to contact me, no one called. Was disappointed with the service and don't think I would take my car back there.

    Went to Schierl Tire because I love there local involvement. I know a few members of the Schierl's and can say nothing but good thing about them. My experience in Rapids was very frustrating. I called and ordered tires and needed them quickly. When I showed up the store had ordered only one tire not a set of four. I calked it up to a misunderstanding and said I would return Monday for the other three. I rearranged my schedule and returned on Monday. They took my car only to return a hour later to tell me they ordered the wrong size. This caused me to have to rearrange another day to return for a third time. Work was done Well... Need to get there information correct... cost me a lot of time... very frustrating.

    I have a leaking right rear tire which I purchased (4) and new brakes this year and getting someone to look at it is impossible. I have been given an appointment for Wednesday Dec 26th at noon.     The saga of my high priced sway bar link took a turn for the better when I received a check from Mr. Schierl for the difference in the $98.99 I was charged and the $42.50 Chrysler listed the part for! I appreciate the "customer satisfaction" shown by Mr. Schierl and will continue to give them my business! (But will watch prices for parts more closely!)

    I have been a customer at the Wisconsin Rapids Schierl location for years and have purchased tires a couple times and appreciated the "free rotation" every 6000 miles. The first rotation inspection found the a broken sway bar link which was repaired for $35.22 plus $30.99 for labor, total $66.21. (Invoice #37-6338) The next rotation inspection (Invoice #37-27668)found the other sway bar link broken, however the price of a replacement jumped to $98.99 for the link, $4.25 for "incidentals" and $57.24 for labor for a total of$160.28! I complained about the price increase for the repair and was offered a discount of $10. Upon returning home and questioning the price of the part, I called a local auto parts dealer and was quoted a price of $16 for the standard link or $25 for the 5 yr warranty one. I called Schierl and discussed my findings with the "front desk" person and was offered a oil change at some future date. I also checked with the Chrysler parts on line and found the price for the part to be $42.50! I think a refund of $56.49 for the difference would be a small price to pay for Schierl to keep me as a customer! As I see it I paid $158.76 to have my tires rotated for the laast time at Schierl!!

    I recently purchased a set of Goodyear tires and applied for the credit card to get the $160 rebate. After initial problems with the application and denial of the rebate, Len went out of his way to go through the process again, this time successfully. Thanks for the extra effort Len.

    I took a leaking tire in for repair. I knew if I bought the tire there, repair was free but this tire was on a new car so not bought at Schierl. Nonetheless, the tire repair was free. I was quite surprised. I was even given a ride home when I dropped the car off. Very good service and rare to find this kind of customer service.

    The service was great they were so busy and had around 9 people waiting. One older lady wasn't happy that she had to wait. That she doesn't like this weather and can't they just take her next. The service man behind the desk was so kind and humble about listening to her and when they help me they put their coats on and help bring the tire to the car. I so thought when my husband said can you do me a favor I thought not again. Trouble I can see. But I will gladly do this favor anytime for him again. They were friendly and very pleaseant to me and to that old lady which I will be soon. Thanks again.

    I'm sold! Excellent customer service and work done in a timely manner. Was also very impressed with the cleanliness and respect they have towards your vehicle. (Putting a mat down on the floor and seat before getting in it.) The guys at Schierl Tire on 8th street in Wisc. Rapids rock! Called in the a m with a nail in my tire and even though they were completely booked up with other appts. they worked me in. I was in and out in less than an hour. And they didnt charge me dime... But took care of me as if I was spending five thousand! The serviceman that handled my call was Len Midthun and in my opinion he went above and beyond...That man deserves a raise! I will definately spread the word and from now on be taking all my car care needs to Schierl Tire.

    I found my spare tire low on air and wouldn't hold air. So I took it to in and found the bead leaking. Luckily for me it was able to be fixed on Saturday as later that day I had a flat tire on the interstate. Thank you for getting it repaired.

    I found a puncture in one of my tires. I called the Wisconsin Rapids location on the Saturday before Labor day and they where able to fix the tire and to my supprise at no charge. Len Midthun serviced me in person, he was very attentive and helpful. I asked to pay for the repair and I was supprised that I was not charged. I asked Len for a quote for new tires for my car and when it is time for new tires, I will return. The service I recieved was great.

    On the morning of August 9, we woke up to a flat tire on our vehicle. Since we're not from the area, we contacted our son, who does live in the area. He advised Schierl Tire. Right across from Walmart. Easy to find. We were there when the doors opened at 7:30 and out by a little after 8:00. After removing the tire from the vehicle, removing the tire from the rim, finding the problem (a small piece of wood, about the size of a toothpick), fixing the leak, mounting the tire, balancing it and returning it to the vehicle, we were told to put the credit card away. We were, and still are, dumbfounded, but grateful. THANK YOU.

    Blew a tire on the way into your area - drove into your shop on a Fri morning and Len bent over backwards and then some to try to track down a tore for my Honda Fit (who knew that would be so hard!). He was totally awesome trying to help us and finally found the one solution to get us a tire so we could get out of there over the weekend! Can't praise this place enough!! You folks are the best!!!

    Not sure what to think. I bought a set of tires in the fall of 2012, and have since then, taken my truck back twice to get the tires rotated. Not once had they inflated the tires to the proper pressure. The first two times the front tires were over inflated by 7psi. Today when I went in to have the tires rotated, they marked down that they put 40psi in all 4 tires, when I got home and checked the pressure myself the front tires had 35psi and the back tires had 28psi which means they rotated the tires but never once checked the pressure, even though they marked it on a check list that claims they did. Also checked off on their list was my license plate bulb was in good working condition. I'll tell you right now that it hasn't worked in two years, I know this because I took the bulb out two years ago. It's fairly obvious that they didn't actually go down their list, they just checked things off without actually checking them out, which is no big deal for me, but it does make me feel a little leery about taking my vehicles there for any other type of service. (and now that I'm thinking about it, I'm wondering if they actually balanced the tires or just rotated them.)

    Have been getting cars serviced @ Schierl for years. Great service. Recent incident was frustrating though. Had received a Schierl coupon via email a couple months ago for $10 off batteries. So last week the battery failed in my car and I called Schierl to get it serviced and they were booked out a week. Needless to say I couldn't be without a vehicle for a week so had to take it elsewhere for repair.
    I understand busy schedules and extended times for non-urgent repairs such as oil changes and new tires but when it comes to a "break down" seems as though an effort could be made to take care of their loyal customers.

    Len and Bruce were great the got my car in at 1PM on a Saturday and had the ABS and Traction Control problem fixed before they closed at 3. Len also found me a coupon that took 10% off the bill. They are great.

    My car came with Goodyear tires and I was very satisfied with them so I went to Schierl Tires to get a quote on new ones.

    This was my first experience with Schierl and I was very happy with the way I was treated.

    Everyone there was very courteous and professional.

    I received my quote which not only included the tires but also a free package which contained free tire rotation for the life of the tires plus other items.

    I would highly recommend them to not only my friends but to all who need not only tires but items like oil changes, tune-ups, etc.

    We always work with Len at the WR store when we need quotes or suggestions for work we are getting done at Schierl Tire. He is very helpful and follows through with all of his suggestions. When we go to Schierl Tire to get the work done, everyone is very professional, helpful and friendly. They are such a nice group of people to work with. That is not just with us, but I also notice the service is the same for other people that are getting work done at the same time we are.

    We were in Rapids for a hockey tournament, when we went out to our car in the morning we found out our tire was flat, I limped my car into the lot at Schierl Tire and was given fast service and when they were done the bill presented had a zero balance!!!!! They saved our day by fixing our car and told me that they repair tires for free!!!! All they asked is i submit a review, I would have paid a lot to get to the game on time, thanks!

    Normally, I wouldn’t comment good or bad since I’ve been doing business for quite some time with Schierl Tire but receiving your card inviting me to comment prompted me to respond. I just went in for new tires because I had a non repairable flat tire. I was told the wait would be an hour for four tires and the price for the tires would be $500 plus for four tires. I got there at 10 and left at noon. Your front desk employee did offer several apologies for the wait however. He did also state that I could come in for a free alignment because “they didn’t have time” to take care of mine just then. I looked at my bill when I left and there is a hundred dollar charge for the Schiel Tire Promice which was never offered me as an option or even discussed. I still have no idea if I had a choice to refuse or accept this service. Awhile ago, I requested a price on some service and when I got a quote elsewhere, it was half of what Schiel would charge. Normally, I do not shop for quotes and just have the work done by Schierl but I felt this price was high. I’ve also noticed you have a significant change in personnel which makes me wonder.

    Bottom line is, I am a longtime customer with some concerns with your business.
    1. The wait was too long and the service was not complete (no alignment check) which to me is a safety issue
    2. My bill was not discussed with me and the added charges were not discussed with me which I feel is borderline deceptive practice
    3. I now question your charges and wonder if services are more reasonably priced elsewhere which I never had to do before because I felt confident as your customer
    4. Are your employees happy working there

    While I think it is nice that you are taking part of your profit to have new signs done and make it more attractive to the customer, I now will be more cautious about your price quotes. I will continue to have my oil changed there and tires rotated but when I am told there is additional work to be done on my car, I will be getting second quotes from now on. I’ve always enjoyed being a customer at Schierl and have always been made to feel welcomed and I’m sure that part won’t change. You wanted feedback and this experience prompted me to respond. I wish I could’ve given you a more positive report.

    Scheduled an appt for new tires. They took tires off truck and realized they didn't have the right ones to put on, now I have to wait another week to get my new tires on.

    In regards to invoice number: 7231693
    Recently I had to have my car serviced at your Wisconsin Rapids facility. Normally when I have my car serviced at your facility my significant other goes with me. In the past my significant other would do the repairs himself because he is but a fleet maintenance supervisor for most of his life. However, he is now disabled and during this particular visit, he was hospitalized and could not accompany me to your facility. My car been overheating on one of my many return trips from the hospital in Marshfield.
    I entered your facility for repairs the mechanic had flushed by cooling system replaced upper and lower radiator hoses, the water pump, and the serpentine belt. The charge was $794.45 I felt this was exuberant as was the previous repair bill for my front and repairs that amounted to over $700.
    My significant other took it upon himself to ask for a copy of the bill in question and he spoke with the gentleman behind the counter about a particular charge of replacing the radiator hoses. That charge amounted to $132.86 and identical charge of $132.86 was applied for replacing the water pump. A majority of the work involved in placing the water pump is included in the work for replacing a lower radiator owns the only task left after the water pump is in your hand is to unscrew the hose clamp at the bottom of the radiator which takes approximately 90 seconds. The upper radiator hose replacement is a far easier job and by no means cost $132.86.
    My significant other being a professional mechanic, recognize this practice is one of the many unfair practices performed at lesser reputable establishments. To see this type of abuse perpetrated on a regular customer is he irreprehensible. I strongly suggest that your establishment make a significant adjustment to this bill and a thorough review of the previous bill for front and work on the same car. I look forward to hearing from you and do not look forward to filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and/or any state agencies that apply.

    I went in to your Wisconsin Rapids location for a tire rotation on 3/21/12. In the past I have purchased tires for my car and truck there several times, and have never been unsatisfied with the service, and appreciate all the extra diagnostic service on my vehicle. Unfortunately on this date, after being diagnosed with loose inner tie-rods, and worn ( beyond use) rear drum ( and a very informational, and appreciated estimate) I left that location, only to loose my right rear tire, which had not been tightened by your service people. After a quick call to that location, the service manager arrived promptly and addressed the issue with the car, and properly repaired all damage to the vehicle, including a new tire.

    I had absolutely no attention of making any deal of this instance based on the proper service by your company, and the more than adequate service after this incident. I felt that with today's busy service atmosphere, mistakes like that do happen, and that the follow-up of instances show the true character of the situation.

    The part of this story that now must turn negative, is that when I took this vehicle in for the brakes and tie-rods to a service garage, I was told that none of the things in the written estimate were true. That in fact nothing was loose, or need repair on my front end, and that my rear brake drum shoes have around 3/4 of an inch of padding. This troubles me. Had I taken the advice of your technicians at that location, it would have cost me well over 700 dollars of unnecessary replacement. With today's economy, and the never-ending fight to save money, I question why I am being "lied" to about the condition of my vehicle, let alone all the other unfortunate customers that are having these things done, and paying you for it unnecessarily.

    I close this letter in stating that I will not patronize your company anymore based on my mistrust in your company's "honesty". I hope that this was just a mistake with my particular experience on this occasion, and that your company is not knowingly doing this to profit.

    I believe yr techs need more training. I recently got a oil change done and you inspection i was disapointed on 3 counts. first the correct amout of oil was not replaced. it was a quart and a half shy of where factory says it should be. also in your inspection it was saidt that my 4 wheel drive transfer case was leaking. in reality my transmission governor cap had rusted and there was a small hole. id like to point out that thats 1 and a half feet from the transfer case. i was also disapoint that the techs found it fun to rev up my truck when it was in the shop i can under stand building some pressure after the oil change but hear your techs through from in the lobby about how loud it was and burning my gas was not appreciatied. however i did feel the up frount service was fantastic and when my tires were put on i was also happy. but i was also standing right next to the tech installing them. i would hope that in the future i dont see anymore of this type of behind the counter service.
