Wisconsin Mechanic Youth Apprenticeship Program Schierl Tire & ServiceSo, you want to land a job in the automotive industry...but where do you start? At Schierl Tire & Service, we’re always looking to hire great people to join our team. If you’re a high school student who plans to earn a degree at Mid-State Technical College or Northcentral Technical College and pursue a career as an automotive technician, apply for our Youth Apprenticeship Program today!

As a Youth Apprenticeship Program Participant, you will:

  • Grow your overall understanding of the automotive industry 
Program Timeline: 
Youth Apprenticeship Program participants will begin working part-time at a Schierl Tire & Service Center while in high school. After graduation, Schierl Tire & Service offers a scholarship to individuals who will be attending Mid-State Technical College or Northcentral Technical College. The scholarship covers half the cost of tuition and books, up to $1,375 per semester!
 
Students must be accepted to Mid-State or Northcentral Technical College before applying for the scholarship. To remain eligible to receive the scholarship each semester, Youth Apprenticeship Program participants must maintain a “B” grade average.  
 
Program Work Schedule: 
When working as a General Service Technician at Schierl Tire & Service, program participants will hold part-time hours during the school year and full-time hours during summer break. After graduation from Mid-State or Northcentral Technical College, participants will work with Schierl Tire & Service full-time for 3 years as an Automotive Technician.
